Prize and series “Tesi rossiniane”

Fondazione Rossini, in collaboration with Fondazione Riz and Katyna Ortolani, has set up the “Tesi rossiniane” prize. The prize will be awarded to the best graduation thesis or PhD/doctorate dissertations (already defended in an Italian or foreign University or Conservatory) on a Rossinian topic.

The topic may be “Rossinian” in a broad sense: it may refer to the operatic language of Rossini’s century and the background in which he worked. Dissertations should be submitted in one of the following languages: French, English, Italian or German.

The prize, which is awarded every two years, has now reached its third edition and consists in the publication of the winning work in the “Tesi rossiniane” series (directed by Emilio Sala), published by the Fondazione Rossini.

Emilio Sala and two members of the Scientific Board from the Fondazione Rossini, will compose the Jury.
