The Saggi e Fonti series are historical-musicological investigations on the figure of Rossini and on the theatrical practice of his time thanks to the greatest specialists in the subject.
The volume Il testo e la scena, publishes the proceedings of the International Conference which in 1992, the second centenary of the composer’s birth, constituted a moment of study of fundamental importance for Rossini’s exegesis.
On the other hand, Di sì felice innesto, collects studies on Rossini, dance and theatrical dance in Italy, illustrating a form of entertainment that was widely practised in the nineteenth century, but on which there is still very little information.
